Fall over us: Revelation 6 and Revelation 18

I got my browser to look this up (AI?) so it repeats the refrain

In the Book of Revelation, chapter 6:16, it is written: “They called to the mountains and the rocks, ‘Fall on us and hide us from the presence of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!’” (NKJV). This passage describes a desperate cry from people who are seeking refuge from the wrath of God.

In this context, the people are pleading with the mountains and rocks to fall on them, effectively hiding them from the presence of God and His wrath. This is a vivid illustration of the fear and terror that people experience when they realize the magnitude of their sin and the judgment of God.

The phrase “Fall over us” is a metaphorical expression of the people’s desire to be hidden from God’s judgment. It is not meant to be taken literally, but rather as a poetic way of expressing their desperation and fear.

In Revelation 18, the fall of Babylon is described, where the city is punished for its wickedness and idolatry. The people of the earth are called to rejoice over her downfall, as God has avenged them on her (Revelation 18:20).

In both passages, the concept of “Fall over us” is used to convey the idea of seeking refuge and protection from the wrath of God.

King David, an adulterer and muderer, begged Jehovah to judge him for his deeds because he knew the only way to make restitution and to survive was with Jehovah the implication is that the followers of the satanic organisation ruling all the kingdoms of Earth at the moment are not asking to be judged by God.

Make your own mind up about that.

Let me make Two things clear about the foregoing:

  1. Jehovahs Witnesses do not believe that we are going to go and live in a fictional undescribed place like earth in heaven. We desire to live forever on and Earth made new by Jesus the son of God, now appointed to rule with some of his brotherson behalf of the rest of his brothers here on Earth.
  2. None of us believe the whole story is fully understood just yet and that all of the scriptures are being analysed all the time to try and gain all the insights to them possible.

Again, make up your own mind about that. Just make it up soon!
